1. Responsible for ensuring that the country's heritage treasures are systematically registered and recorded in the National Heritage Register;
2. Conducting ongoing research and documentation to determine the significance of heritage details;
3. Enforcing the National Heritage Act 2005 to protect and conserve the continuity of the nation's heritage;
4. Briefing and providing information to all parties, including the state government, regarding the National Heritage Act 2005;
5. Managing for:
● National Heritage Council Meeting;
● Heritage Management Meeting;
● Meeting of the Committee of Experts on Natural Heritage, Geology,
● Tangible Objects & Fine Arts;
● Heritage Fund Committee Meeting;
● Meeting of the Expert Committee for the Assessment of Compensation for Objects and Tangible Heritage Objects Under the National Heritage Act 2005 [Act 645] and
● Planning Permission Committee Meeting.
