East Sabah
Archaeological finds in East Sabah are providing new evidence of early Palaeolithic settlements and Neolithic settlers and seafaring traders, rewriting the Prehistoric history of the region.
In recognition of the importance of current finds and the potential of the area, Sabah Museum and Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Global Archaeological Research Centre, are currently exploring the possibilities of other as yet unknown sites in the state's interior Apin-Apin district in Keningau.
